There is something else there. Always.

No matter what and how I look, the view is never complete. There's always something I cannot see. Even if I create the view myself.

Our image of the world is fragmented. We are only able to perceive part of all that surrounds us. And even that we can only perceive within certain limits.

So, it is very important to me, perhaps the most important thing in the last four years, to choose the appropriate framework and system of relationships.

I usually believe that this system is the process of wet collodion. This is one of the most sensitive and most unstable photographic processes that were ever invented. A procedure that is willing to work only within a strictly defined framework. If it happens to work at all, that is.

It usually works. It depicts a world that I merely suspect. Or maybe that I merely feel. Although as a main rule, I do not shoot until I know exactly what I want to see and even express by the view, the resulting image is usually something different.

Depiction by collodion is in fact creation. It technically dismisses aspects of the view, since it is a monochrome process and only detects a narrow range of the visible spectrum, but this reduction actually reveals the unseen. The essence. Mostly.

Although generally I do so, currently I am not looking for a connection. I no longer want to necessarily believe that there is an inner cohesion that holds my inner world together (at least) in my pictures.

My pivot point is the technique of collodion. Which is variable and diverse, but for a positive image the sensitisation bath has a relatively narrow range of PH.

PH 4.5. Mostly.

Photography is not the art of the moment. Each image must contain something from what we cannot experience, as we are living from one moment to the next. Otherwise there is no sense in wasting even a second on it. Wet collodion as an image making process and as a method of creation carries within itself the kind of melancholy that comes with the acceptance of the meaninglessness and the unavoidable decay of our lives. Since 2015 I have almost only used wet collodion for photography.

PH 4,5 (Többnyire)

Van ott valami más is. Mindig.

A világról alkotott képünk töredék.

A kollódium leképezése valójában teremtés. A lényeget.

A biztos pont a kollódiumos technika.

Különben fölösleges egyetlen másodpercet is elvesztegetni rá.
